With the ongoing improvement of digital cameras and smartphones, more people can acquire high- resolution images. Due to their size high performance requirements, such Gigapixel Images (GPIs) are often challenging process explore compared conventional low To address this problem, paper presents a service-based approach for GPI processing in device-independent way using cloud-based processing. For it, concept, design, implementation functionality into architectures is presented evaluated with respect advantages, limitations, runtime performance.
